Obesity is a chronic, complex disease characterized by excessive body fat that increases the risk of serious health problems such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers. Globally, obesity rates have more than doubled since 1990, making it one of the most pressing public health challenges of our time. We are conducting a study on a new medication for weight loss.
