Heart Failure Prevention

Doctor and Patient

Patients who have experienced a cardiac event are at increased risk for future heart problems, including recurrent heart attacks, arrhythmias, and heart failure. Their cardiovascular system may already be compromised, making it more vulnerable to additional stress or damage. Without proper management—such as lifestyle changes, medication adherence, and regular monitoring—the likelihood of complications or another cardiac event significantly rises.

We are currently looking for volunteers for our future cardiac event prevention study who have experienced a cardiac event or procedure, such as a stroke, heart attack, or stent placement.

Patients that qualify will receive at no cost:

  • Study medication

  • Study-related care from a local doctor

  • Compensation for time and travel
